Creative Healing Writing Workshop

What to bring: bring a pillow/yoga mat to sit on (we may be sitting on the floor). Also a pen and paper, and any written projects you may be working on such as: a journal, notes, script, short story, novel, etc.

Welcome to the Creative Healing Arts Center writer’s group. The intention for this group is to create a platform that supports people in creating and expressing themselves through the written word. Initially the group will start in Los Angeles in February, 2008. This group will function as the pilot group with members meeting in person in Eagle Rock, California. Once the group is cohesive and flowing, we will experiment with meetings online, and through conference calls. As we perfect the process with this group, we will start to develop other groups around the country and beyond.

Initially my role as the facilitator will be to help people set intention about their work and provide support with the creative process. I am not signing on as the writing coach, or editor. To repeat - my primary purpose will be to help people get started and stay committed to their process. As the group process continues there will be opportunities each week for people to share their work. Additionally a couple of times per year there will be collective gatherings and group events planned for people to share their completed projects.
